Garma ("the App") is developed by Stringcode OÜ, registered in Tallinn, Estonia. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data.
Anonymous Authentication: When you first open Garma, a unique anonymous identifier is created automatically. No name, email address, phone number, or any personal information is required or collected.
Clothing Label Photos: When you scan a clothing label, the photo is sent to OpenAI's API for analysis. These photos are processed to extract material and care information and are subject to OpenAI's privacy policy.
Garment Photos: If you add a photo of your garment, it is stored in Firebase Storage (EU servers) linked to your anonymous account. These photos are used to display your wardrobe within the App.
Wardrobe Data: Your scanned items, scores, wash history, laundry basket, and wardrobe data are stored in Firebase Firestore (EU servers, europe-west1) linked to your anonymous account.
Scan Count: We track the number of scans you perform to manage the free tier limit. This count is stored locally on your device.

All server-side data is stored on Firebase servers located in the European Union (europe-west1 region). Data is transmitted using industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS). Access to your data is limited to your anonymous account.
Your wardrobe data, garment photos, and scan history are retained until you choose to delete them. You can delete individual items at any time, clear your entire wardrobe, or delete all your data through the Settings menu in the App.

Since we use anonymous authentication, we do not have the ability to identify you personally. Your data is linked only to your anonymous device identifier.
Garma is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will delete it.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
