These Terms of Use ("Terms") are an agreement between you and Stringcode OÜ, Tallinn, Estonia ("we", "us"), and govern your use of the QuitVox app ("the App"). By using the App you accept these Terms.
QuitVox is a quit-smoking companion: it tracks your quit progress, delivers AI-generated motivational coaching in selectable coach personas (as text and, for Premium subscribers, as voice audio), and offers a 90-second craving-rescue routine.
QuitVox is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. The coaching content is AI-generated motivational support delivered by fictional characters. It is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, including nicotine-addiction treatment. Consult a qualified health professional about quitting smoking, nicotine-replacement therapy, or any symptoms you experience. Never disregard professional advice because of something the App said. If you are in crisis, contact local emergency services.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the App.
Coach messages are generated by artificial intelligence based on your quit plan and progress. AI output can be inaccurate, repetitive, or oddly phrased despite our safeguards. The coach personas (for example "Drill Sergeant" or "Dark Lord") are fictional characters, and their style — including tough-love or humorous framing — is entertainment wrapped around encouragement, not professional guidance. If any generated content seems harmful or wrong, disregard it and please report it to us.
The free tier includes quit tracking, daily missions, text coaching with the Balanced and Calm Support personas, and the craving-rescue timer.

Renewal and cancellation: Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; the renewal charge occurs within 24 hours before the period ends. The yearly plan's free trial converts into a paid subscription unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends; any unused trial portion is forfeited on purchase. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your App Store account settings (Settings → your name → Subscriptions) or via Manage Subscription inside the App. Refunds are handled by Apple under App Store terms.
Voice generation has real per-use cost. Premium includes generous personal-use limits (currently one daily voice message per day, five craving-rescue voices per week, and a weekly voice-time ceiling). These limits exist to keep the service sustainable; we may adjust them, and continued abuse or circumvention of limits may result in suspension. Already-generated audio replays without limits.
You agree not to: reverse engineer, tamper with, or circumvent the App's technical or entitlement controls; use the App's AI generation for purposes other than personal quit-smoking support; resell or redistribute generated content as a service; or use the App in violation of applicable law.
Our Privacy Policy describes what we process and your rights. The App works with an anonymous identity; keep in mind that deleting the App severs access to that identity, and progress cannot be recovered on a new install unless a restore mechanism is offered.
The App, its design, characters, and content are owned by Stringcode OÜ or its licensors. We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the App on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, as permitted by the App Store Terms of Service. Coaching messages generated for you may be used for your personal, non-commercial purposes.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted availability. AI providers, app stores, and networks fail sometimes; voice features in particular depend on third-party services and usage limits.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stringcode OÜ's total liability arising out of these Terms or the App is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including under mandatory consumer-protection rules of your country of residence. Your health decisions are your own and your doctor's — the App's role is encouragement, and we accept no liability for outcomes of quitting or failing to quit smoking.
These Terms are between you and Stringcode OÜ only, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the App and is not responsible for any product warranties or for addressing claims relating to the App, including product liability, legal compliance, or IP infringement claims. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a U.S. Government embargo and are not on any U.S. Government restricted-party list.
We may update the App and these Terms; material changes will be flagged in the App, and continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. You can stop using the App at any time; subscription cancellation is handled through Apple as described above.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of Estonian courts, unless mandatory law provides otherwise.
